SUNDAYS - 8:30am-10am - YIN YOGA at SPACE PAVILION in Kalapana Seaview (12-247 West Pohakupele loop)
Reconnect to your breath and your body’s energy in this quiet, restorative class where we explore relaxing into postures for extended periods of time (anywhere from 3-7 minutes per posture). Based on meridian theory, Yin Yoga helps open up the nadis (energy pathways of the body) in passive stretches that allow our prana lifeforce energy to flow more freely. A wonderful compliment to a more active yang practice, Yin postures allow for many moments of deep meditation and leave us feeling peaceful, centered and sublime.
Bring your own mat + props. $10 donation suggested, or whatever you can offer. No one turned away for lack of funds.
This all-levels class is a meditative journey through seated + reclining postures for extended connective tissue release + rejuvenation.
Newer students are recommended to bring two blankets + two blocks/pillows for prop support. A limited amount of blocks are available at SPACE to use if you clean them before + afterwards. Arrive a few minutes early if you wish to borrow/use SPACE props.

I'm excited to share a seventy-five minute hatha yoga flow class, appropriate for all levels, connecting breath + movement, to promote a deeper sense of clarity, presence + joy.
Kalani holds a special place in my heart, as it is where I landed on the Big Island in 1997 + also where I met so many of my mentors, fellow yogis, friends and Big Island Ohana. :)

REFINE your personal practice as we tune into the rhythm of our own heartbeats and breath. In a personalized yoga session, we can intentionally awaken our practice with shared intention, conversation, beginning with simple, seated kundalini breath movements, eventually transitioning into a gentle standing flow and balance postures. We'll cool down with seated forward bends and a simple inversion to soothe the mind and prepare us for a deeply rejuvenating and relaxing Savasana (final resting posture) to further deepen the integration of a shared practice.
*$108 donation for a 75 minute session.
